She threw a "coke": Deyra Barrera sings the anthem poorly at a WWE and AAA event

Schoolyard.- Singer Deyra Barrera made a mistake while singing the Mexican National Anthem during a joint WWE and AAA event. Because if there's one thing that unites Mexico and the United States, it's respect for national anthems... and eye-poking matches.

As part of the grand event formalizing the merger between the two wrestling companies, the artist was scheduled to perform the national flag. What no one expected was that she would end up singing a more creative than exact version of the anthem that Don Francisco González Bocanegra wrote while his girlfriend had him locked up.

#Viral 🎤 Sonoran singer Deyra Barrera failed to sing the Mexican National Anthem at WWE and AAA's Worlds Collide event, held on June 7 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. 🇲🇽😱

“Mexicans, to the cry of war, of peace, of the divine archangel; however, the earth feels the sonorous roar of the cannon,” Barrera said, leaving half the audience somewhere between confused and laughing, like when you watch Latin Lover give his opinion on foreign policy.

Deyra Barrera will not make Bocanegra proud

The slip-up was such that even Blue Demon Jr. himself couldn't hide his annoyed expression, like someone who'd just burned his birria right before the show. "It was only two verses, girl," I could see in his eyes behind his mask.

Deyra, who was once known for the song "El tiempo no perdona" (Time Doesn't Forgive) , has already apologized on social media:

"I want to express my sincere apologies for the inaccurate interpretation of the Mexican National Anthem during my last performance. I understand the importance and respect this national symbol represents for all of us and I deeply regret any anger or disappointment this may have caused," she wrote on her Instagram account… before blocking comments like a true digital patriot.

And like every closing worthy of a soap opera, it concluded:

"This incident does not reflect my constant commitment or dedication to perfecting my performance and honoring our Mexican culture. I work hard every day to always offer my best on every stage and with every performance."

And just in case you missed it: People who bought the Switch 2 are reporting that the screen came with staple marks.
